The father of former Borno State Governor, and one time Chairman of the Peoples Democratic party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff (SAS), is dead.
The deceased who was the Galadima of Dikwa Emirate Council and business mogul, Modu Sheriff died in a mysterious fire incident which erupted in his house on Wednesday night, suspected to be electric fault.
The Oldman who is in his 80s according to sources died on the way to hospital while rushing him for medical attention due to the inferno from his Maiduguri residence along Damboa road of the metropolis.
Although, the city is in total lockdown due to rising cases of COVID-19 pandemic, our Correspondent gathered reliably that the remains of the deceased would be buried today (Thursday) at about 4pm according to Islamic rites. Details later.
