……………….

President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed the Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Mr. Alex Okoh, for a second term of four years, in accordance with the provision of Section 17 (1)(a) and (2)(a) of the Public Enterprise (Privatization & Commercialization) Act, 1999.

Revealing this in a statement, weekend, Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, said the renewal will take effect from April 10, 2021.

Okoh’s reappointment may not have been unconnected with notable invigoration in the activities of the bureau in the last four years of his leadership at the public enterprise agency, the statement stressed.

Going back memory lane, Akande re-emphasized that the BPE is the Federal Government agency charged with economic reforms, especially the privatization and commercialization of government-owned enterprises in the country, in addition to serving as the secretariat of the National Council on Privatization (NCP)./ SHARE THIS
