Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, Monday morning, visited the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, over alleged brutality by the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) .
Revealing this via his verified twitter handle Dare wrote, “This morning I visited the IGP for further discussions on the activities of FSARS and the need to end the harassment, profiling and dehumanization of our youth by some bad officers. IGP gave strong assurances on deep reforms, sanctioning of officers and protection of the youth.”
This is coming on the heels of Sunday, October, 4, pronouncement of ban by the IGP on various activities of FSARS across the country.
IGP Adamu ordered the operatives to stop routine patrol, stop and search, traffic movement, roadblocks among others.
