The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has summoned members of the disbanded Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) for a psychological test, a press statement, Tuesday, by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, has revealed.
Although no further details were revealed by the statement, insiders said this might not be unconnected with the need to prepare the officers and men of the squad for greater challenges ahead through proper reform, with a view to giving the police service a human face, especially when they are reposted to other units of the force.
The sources said the psychological test will, essentially, inculcate in them, better spirit of civility in handling the civil populace, and seeing them as partners in progress rather than just criminals.
A source hinted that, through this process, those to be identified as irredeemable and with gross misconducts will be put apart.
