…Threatens saboteurs

Governor Aminu Bello Masari has threatened to dismiss any Hajj official found involved in sabotaging government effort in providing befitting accommodation to the state pilgrims at the holy land.

The governor made this threat when the 2019 Hajj Amirul Hajj of Katsina state Alhaji Muntari Lawal presented the best leader of the state Delegation for the 2019 Hajj exercise honored him by non governmental organisation non as Independent Hajj Reporters in Abuja recently.

Gov Masari said the state government spends over one point five billion naira annually on hajj exercise, adding that time has passed when pilgrims from the state would suffer neglect and untold hardship from official entrusted them.

The governor said his administration conducted four Hajj exercises, but the supervision of Alhaji Muntari Lawal as Amirul Hajj stand out as the best.

He further explained that the Amirul Hajj played a significant role towards solving the problems created by some stakeholders responsible for the Hajj activies in the state which led to the dissolution of the board after  the Hajj exercise.

Earlier Speaking before presenting the award to the governor  the 2019 Amirul Hajj of Katsina state Alhaji Muntari Lawal explained that his name was only written on the award but the credit goes to governor who first assigned him the task and provided him with the requirement to achieve success.


He expressed happiness because the award presentation in Abuja was highly witnessed by dignitaries from Katsina State, the country and even the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Alhaji Muntari Lawal also Expressed Gratitude to the Ulamas, the Hajj team, staff of Katsina State pilgrims welfare Board and Security agents who contributed to the success of the Hajj exercise.
