FORUMS OF TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS, PERMSECS PRESENT COVID-19 HAND SANITIZERS, CASH TO BORNO GOVT

The Borno State Forum of heads and Registrars of Borno State Seven Tertiary Institutions have presented 1014 pieces of hand sanitizers to the High powered Response Team for the control and prevention of Coronavirus.
Presenting the hand sanitizers on behalf of the Forum, the chairman of the forum Mohammad Shettima Daluma said they unanimously agreed to make the donation to complement effort of the state government through the committee successfully curtail the outbreak of COVID 19 in the State.
The Seven Tertiary Institutions are Kashim Ibrahim College of Education Maiduguri,Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri,College of Education Waka Biu,Umar Ibrahim College of Education Bama.
Others are College of Business and Management Studies Konduga, Mohammad Goni College of Legal and Islamic Studies and Mohammed Lawan College of Agriculture.
Also in a related development, the Forum of Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service led by the Head of Service, Barr. Simon Malgwi have also presented a cash donation of four million Naira (N4m) to the committee for the prevention and control of COVID 19 in the state.
The leader of the forum who is also the Head of Service, Barr. Malgwi commended the efforts of the State government and the COVID -19 committee for their efforts in the prevention of virus.
He said, considering the rate in which the pandemic is on the increase, all hands must be on deck to help prevent the outbreak of the disease in the state.
In his response while receiving the donations on behalf of the COVID- 19 Committee, The Chairman of the committee, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor, Hon Umar Usman Kadafur commended both Forums for inspite of their meager earnings sacrificed and make these donations, stressing that it is not the quantum of the donation that matters but the heart from which the donations came from.
The Chairman COVID -19 Committee assured them of judicious Utilization of the donations for the purpose of the control and prevention of the disease.
