Fire this morning gutted the Treasury House, a building housing the office of the accountant-general of the federation (AGF).
The building is located on Samuel Ladoke Akintola Boulevard, Garki 2, Abuja.
It was believed the fire started from around the second or third floor, razing the building upwards including the Accountant General’s office and most of the important offices.
The cause of the fire is however unknown as at the time of filing this report.
Men of the Federal Fire Service who were later joined by staff of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, are trying to put out the fire.
