Appealing to all Nigerians, especially key stakeholders in the just concluded presidential election, to embrace the reality that a most capable winner has emerged from the recent nationwide electoral activity for the betterment of the people of the country, Olaosebikan, also the leader of the newly formed Great Nigeria Group, GNG, implored all stakeholders in the presidential election to eschew volatile and inciting statements that can lead to violence in any part of the country.

According to him, it is a universal knowledge that Asiwaju Tinubu is a Nigerian leader with the requisite experience, capability and capacity to lead Nigeria to her destined greatness after President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure as he had shown during his eight-year tenure as governor of Lagos State. Also, he further explained that this statement of fact can be gleaned from Asiwaju Tinubu’s Manifesto published at the beginning of the electioneering campaigns last year as well as the compelling and convincing articulation of his ideas of a renewed hope for the greater Nigeria, inside and outside Nigeria in all his interfaces with different groups before the presidential election.

As stated in the press release, “Nigerians are indeed very blessed to have Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as their new democratically elected leader because he ran a most impressive issue-based electioneering campaign, identifying Nigeria’s major socio-economic challenges and at the same time proferring practical and practicable solutions to them with input from experts in various fields of human endeavours.”

As further stated by Olaosebikan, this was a great departure from the old and cliched campaigns of provision of more infrastructural facilities like roads, hospitals and schools for the Nigerian populace. The veteran Nigerian journalist listed what he calls the cornerstones of what will birth the “Tinuboom” Era waiting to be unleashed on Nigeria for the good and happiness of the greatest number of Nigerians. According to him, these include a well conceived economic policy which focuses on massive agricultural and industrial development, sustainable economic growth based on realities of our national life in Nigeria.

Other identified cornerstones of the impending “Tinuboom Era” include a realistic and all-embracing approach to deal with the youth challenge in the country by making all-round development of Nigerian youths an enduring policy focus which will make them proud partners in the national development plan as well as patriotic contributors to the nation’s socio-economic grid.

Also identified as cornerstone of the impending “Tinuboom” Era is Asiwaju’s well conceived and articulated energy policy which will not only improve the nation’s financial base but will result in massive employment opportunities for Nigerians, especially the youths.

Similarly, he stated that one other vital coefficient of the “Tinuboom” Era to be unleashed on Nigerians by the incoming administration of Asiwaju Tinubu is focal maintenance of internal security of the country. As reiterated in the press statement, in his commendable Manifesto and throughout the period of the electioneering campaigns, the former Lagos governor expressed with patriotic concern that safeguarding Nigeria’s internal security will be prime focus of his leadership of the country.

As he recalled in the press statement, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, promised to “address fiscal, monetary, and trade reforms to effectively increase domestic production to curb imported inflation and to ensure better macro-economic stability by accelerating inclusive growth and job creation across Nigeria”. To achieve this, the President-elect listed principles that will guide his plans and policies to include how to tackle inflation, petrol subsidy, and monetary policy.

Additionally, Olaosebikan also stated that Asiwaju Tinubu promised that his administration’s budgeting would be based on the projected spending levels needed to push real annual growth rate above 10 percent, while reducing the unemployment rate, so that the economy can be doubled in seven years. In a similar vein, the President-elect added that to cater for the economic needs of over 200 million Nigerians, his administration will expand the manufacturing base to provide jobs, and also create affordable goods and products for the population.

Stating that these are all testimonies that Nigerians are on the threshold of the impending socio-economic boom, Olaosebikan remarked that voting for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last presidential election is a massive vote for the new and great Nigeria which Nigerians will never regret as the President-elect personifies all the ideals of a compassionate, responsive and responsible leadership exigently needed by the country.

As he further stated, “Asiwaju Tinubu is a talent hunter, he will assemble the tested brains for implementation of his master plan for the new and great Nigeria.

Urging Nigerians to support Tinubu’s vision and mission for the new Nigeria, Olaosebikan stated that he is confident that the President-elect can reenact the Lagos experience where he created jobs, reformed laws, improved on the ease of doing business and created opportunities for the masses to thrive which caused Lagos to move from an IGR of N600million a month to N50 billion.

“Asiwaju Tinubu is a quintessential expert in human and material resources management. He has understudied the nation’s socio-economic challenges; he is familiar with them, understands the people and knows what is good for the Nigerian people,” he concluded./SHARE THIS
