A drunk Inspector of Police killed five persons yesterday evening in Enugu State while four others sustained injuries during his shooting spree.
Daniel Ndukwe, spokesman for the Enugu State Police Command, said in a statement that the officer attached to the RC Lotto Company at the Golf Estate, GRA, has been arrested.

He said: “Four of the persons said to have sustained gunshot injury are receiving treatment.
“Five others whose injuries were critical have been confirmed dead by doctors and deposited in the mortuary for autopsy.”
Meanwhile, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has visited the injured victims at Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT) Teaching Hospital and promised that his administration would bear the medical expenses.
