Thousands of people in Mooiplaas, a town in South Africa, have queued for four kilometres (4km) for food aid following a lockdown.
In a video currently trending, Metro.co.uk reports that various private businesses donated 8,000 food hampers which were distributed in the informal settlement of Mooiplaas.
South Africa has spent five weeks under coronavirus restrictions requiring most of the population to stay at home apart from essential trips, leaving many businesses and individuals struggling without income in the recession-hit economy.
Last month, the World Bank warned African nations against whole adoption of the lockdown policy of Western nations in their bid to contain the Coronavirus pandemic.
