Buhari Presidential Campaign Movement ‘We believe’ Sympathizes With Victims Of Collapsed Stand During Rally In Maiduguri

WE BELEIVE, a movement mostly youth group in support of re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has condoled with the families of those who lost their lives on Monday after collapsing of a stand/podium during Presidential Campaign Rally at Ramat Square in Maiduguri, Borno state capital.

This is even as the spokesman of President Buhari, Mallam Garbage Shehu in a press statement expressed shock and condoled with the families of those who lost their lives in the incident.

The Buhari support group spoke through its State Coordinator in the state, Mr. Ifeanyi God’stime in an interview with our Correspondent after the peaceful rally.

He said the movement (WE BELIEVE) is set to ensure, the propagation of President Buhari’s achievement in governance, securing ‘two million’ votes for him and his reelection as President, Federal Republic of Nigeria come 16th February general elections.

The group while commending the massive turnout of thousands of youths to grace and welcome Mr. President, however, expressed shock over the death of two persons suspected to be Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Dikwa Local Government Area of the state after the incident of collapse stand during the rally.

Ifeanyi therefore prayed God to grant the souls of the deceased eternal rest, and quick recovery for those who sustained various degrees of injuries in the unfortunate incident.
“I want to on behalf of Buhari Support Group thank thousands of mammoth crowd mostly youths who came out en masse to welcome President Buhari who was in Borno on a One Day Campaign Rally.

“We also want to use this medium to commiserate with the families and loved ones of the two persons who died during the rally, and also prayed God to grant quick recovery to the injured ones.” Ifeanyi said.

He however said, with the massive turnout of people and demonstration of love and confidence by the people of the state towards reelection of President Buhari during the Monday Rally, APC will definitely show shame to the opposition PDP and other political parties on the forthcoming general elections in the state.

Ifeanyi also added that the door to canvasing for more votes has been officially launched after the President’s visit to the state.

WE BELIEVE according to the State Coordinator intend to convince those who don’t usually come out to vote to have reason to come out and vote Buhari in the forthcoming general elections.
