The Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammed Buhari is currently leading his main rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar with over three million votes.
Official results from 33 States and the Federal Capital Territory showed that Buhari has so far recorded about 13,563,977 votes ahead of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who has so far polled about 10,236,469 votes.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from the National Collation Center, Abuja has announced 27 states, which also include the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), while some other States including Rivers and Bayelsa have been announced at the collation centres of the commission in the respective states.
Buhari has won in 16 states, which include; Bauchi, Borno, Ekiti, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Osun and Yobe.
Similarly, the Candidate of the opposition party, has also won in 17 states and the FCT. The states are Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Imo, Ondo, Oyo, Plateau, Taraba, Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers,as well as the Federal Capital Territory(FCT).
