Borno APC chieftain commends Buhari’s support for Gov Shettima

Former Secretary of the Defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in Borno state, and Adviser to Governor Kashim Shettima, Hon. Yusuf Adamu has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his foresight and support to Borno State Government under the leadership of Governor Kashim Shettima, which led to the degrading of Boko Haram insurgency and rebuilding of destroyed schools including construction of 40 new Mega Boarding Schools fully equipped with air conditioning system and digital teaching aids across the state.

Adamu made the commendation on Wednesday in preparation for a One- Day Presidential visit to Borno slated on Thursday 25th April, 2019 apparently to commission numerous people oriented projects executed by Shettima in the last eight years.

The projects expected to be commissioned include Legacy House which was named after late Deputy Governor Zanna Umar Mustapha, Industrial Hub such as the Plastic and Tomatoe factories, Schools, Hospitals, Dualization of Roads among others.

Hon. Adamu who is also member Advisory Council of Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team 2019 for the re-elected President Muhammadu Buhari, said, the people of the state have all.it takes to support Buhari and governor Kashim Shettima for not only restore peace in the state and North East in general, but also appreciate the numerous industralization process and job creation, which have nip the menace of youth restiveness in the state.

His words: “Despite the calamities posed by Book Haram, the support we in Borno got from President Buhari is unprecedented because, our Governor who is very transparent leader took such advantage to lay a solid foundation to our dear state.

” You have seen the Mega Schools newly built across the state, in addition to reconstruction of schools hitherto destroyed by insurgents. Places of worships such as churches and mosques which were destroyed were not only reconstructed, as new ones were also constructed by this present administration.

“New General hospitals and Primary Health Care Centres were constructed in addition to rehabilitation of destroyed ones across the 27 Local Government Areas, Roads and Bridges as well as drainages were constructed. Housing estates such as Legacy Garden, Teachers Village, and host of others have been constructed. In fact, the projects are too numerous to mention.

” I am happy that President Buhari is visiting Borno tomorrow (Thursday) not only to commission these projects, but to also see the silent revolutions for himself”. Adamu said.

He however called on the parents to enroll their children into these schools acquire both western education, as according to him, the emergence of boko Haram was as a result of poverty and illiteracy.

While commending Buhari for signing into Law the N30,000 minimum wage, Adamu called on the Governor -Elect, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum and his Deputy, Usman Umar Kadafur to continue from where governor Shettima stop, as continuity is key to the APC led government in the state.
