The press conference, titled Enough is Enough of killings of Nigerians in South Africa, was slated to be addressed by Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) with NANS on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 9am with the New Adm. Building besides Banquet Hall, Aso Villa, Abuja as the venue, according to a statement issued earlier on Sunday by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Director Media, NIDCOM.
NANS President, Comrade Danielson Akpan, however, in an apology, later on Sunday stated that “I regret to inform you that NANS as an organization will not be available for the press conference tomorrow. This is consequent upon an earlier engagement. However, so long as it is in the interest of Nigeria &Nigerians in South Africa, you have our support.”
As a result of that, Balogun sent out another statement, pointing out that “Sequel to the above, the slated Press Conference to be jointly addressed by NIDCOM Chairman, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa is hereby postponed till further notice. All inconveniences highly regretted.”
