The Lagos governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has explained why he is confident of winning today’s election.
According to him, his interaction, consultation and level of engagements with stakeholders and the citizens of the state have given him the assurance that people will vote en mass for him and other candidates of the ruling party.
Sanwo-Olu spoke after voting at about 10:353am, at his Lateef Jakande Avenue/Femi Okunnu, Ikoyi, polling unit, alongside his wife, Dr (Mrs) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu.
He said: “Today makes it exactly six months – it was on the ninth of September – since I collected the APC gubernatorial form, so I think it is divine.”
He added: “We are very, very confident, extremely confident with the level of work we’ve done, the level of engagement we’ve seen, with the level of interaction we’ve had that we will be successful and we’ll come out tops, but that is for INEC to determine and to announce.”
