The new Commissioner of Police for Kwara State Command, CP Tuesday Assayomo, who has just assumed office has promised to embark on restructuring the Command in line with international best police practices to combat crimes in the State. .
Assayomo replaced the former Commissioner. Mohammed Lawal Bagega, who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police and moved from the State.
Speaking with journalists on arrival, the new CP also said the Command under him would collaborate with all stakeholders promising that kidnappers in particular and other forms of criminals would have a tough time while he is in command.
Assayomo said a strong team has been constituted to make wide investigations on the activities of Cultists and Cyber -criminals in the state, warning criminals to turn a new leaf or relocate from the state.
The state Police boss said the command under his watch would prosecute with immediate dispatch, any criminal caught in accordance with the provisions of the law.
The Commissioner of Police pledges to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor by strengthening the existing collaborations between the Command and security Community in the State to ensure that citizens sleep at night with both eyes closed.
