Mr Ifeanacho Okeke, who spoke at the accident scene, said he spoke with his brother, Emmanuel at about 5:00pm, same day, and at about 9:00pm, his and the wife’s lines had gone off, leading to search and the sad discovery early in the morning, yesterday.
An eyewitness, Mr. Chinechelum Okonkwo, from Nawfia, said he arrived the accident scene during light rainfall when the vehicles were still burning, but it was late for any meaningful help.
