Tinubu Appoints Onanuga As Special Adviser On Information And Strategy

As part of efforts to rejig information management in his administration, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Mr. Bayo Onanuga as Special Adviser on Information & Strategy.

Also, the president appointed Ms. Delu Bulus Yakubu as Senior Special Assistant on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

A 1980 Mass Communication graduate of the University of Lagos, Onanuga worked for Practions Partners in early 1982 and joined Ogun State Television as a pioneer staff in June 1982.

In July 1983, he moved to The Guardian in Lagos as a Sub Editor. He joined the National Concord in January 1985 as Senior Features Writer and was later seconded to the African Concord magazine.

He became the Editor of the weekly in 1989.

In February 1993, Onanuga co-founded TheNEWS magazine with Dapo Olorunyomi, Idowu Obasa, Sani Kabir, Femi Ojudu, Kunle Ajibade and Seye Kehinde.

The two appointees are expected to prioritize effective and efficient working synergy between the Presidency and the Federal Ministries, in addition to duties that will be carried out at the President’s discretion.

The President said he wished the new presidential aides well in the discharge of their duties.
