Thursday the 2nd day of January 2025, will for a very long time be remembered by the community of Ado in Sagamu Local Government, Ogun State, as a Black Thursday.
On this fateful day, the community of Ado was thrown into mourning following the sudden death of her King, Alado of Ado HRH, Barrister Adeshola Amisu Tijani, Osokowu II.
Barrister Adeshola Amisu Tijani, Osokowu ii, was known for his wisdom, leadership, and dedication to the development of Ado community.
In an interview with one of the Chiefs (name withheld), he said, prior to the Monarch’s passing, HRH Tijani was under some attacks and threats to his life by some powerful chiefs in the kingdom. Among these chiefs were Chief Adeleke Ogunsowo, Chief Adebayo, to mention but a few.
According to our correspondent, It was owing to the continuing attack and threat to the Royal household and on the Monarch’s life that HRH had to send his family abroad for their safety and wellbeing.
Meanwhile from reports reaching us, we learnt that the Monarch had once been poisoned with a local charm but was fortunate to be healed. According to our source, the Monarch’s wife HRM, prior to her traveling abroad with her children had also escaped being abducted by unknown persons that were alleged to be sent by these powerful chiefs.
Seeing that his family’s lives was in severe danger of death, HRH decided to send his family abroad to live. Meanwhile, rumor has it that one of the Monarch’s daughters is involved in homosexuality, and as such, the deity ruled that the king’s blood be used to cleanse the land or that his family be made to perform some ritual cleansing rites, hence the Monarch fleeing the kingdom to an undisclosed location for his safety.
Unfortunately, on Thursday 2nd January 2025, the Kingdom received a report that her Monarch had been killed by unidentified persons.
Meanwhile the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer has assured the good people of Ado and the Palace that his killers would be apprehended and prosecuted accordingly.
The traditional ruler will be greatly missed by his loved ones and family.
