The family members had all left their 5, Mobile Road, Ilaje Ajah, Lagos State and were travelling in the train when gunmen with explosives blew up the tracks and assaulted the train travelling between Abuja and Kaduna.

Mr. Oijagbah recollected that the terrorists were bloody in their operation.

“They opened fire on defencelss citizens, killing eight people and wounded 26 others before they took over 100 passengers as hostages,” he said.

“My family was lucky as none of us was taken as hostage,” he added.

Following the ugly incident, Mr. Oijagbah has relocated all the members of his family abroad.

It will be recalled that terrorists attacks began in the 2000s and millions of people have been killed.

The victims included policemen and soldiers.
