Hundreds supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Maigatari Local Government Council in Jigawa State have welcome Governor Abubakar Badaru’s campaign entourage with a request for the rehabilitation of Gumel – Maigatari Federal road for repairs.
The 47 kilometer federal road has been in disrepair for couple of year’s unattended to by the federal government, despite its significant importance to the socio- economic potentials of the people being a border town.
Responding, Governor Badaru assured that he would forward their request to appropriate channels for prompt action.
“I will personally channel your request to President Muhammadu Buhari as our party believe in rural transformation, and infrastructural developments in allowing people to derive from dividends of democracy”.
The Gumel-Maigatari is among the three dilapidated federal roads in the area. Others include Kwanan Dumawa- Babura, among Gaya- Kafin-Hausa-Hadejia federal roads.
Furthermore, Governor Badaru promised to accord priority attention to rural development if given the mandate for the second tenure.
With the Maigatari campaign, Governor Badaru has toured twelve local government areas out of twenty seven LGA’s in Jigawa state.
