Two female suicide bombers and three persons have been confirmed dead in a twin suicide attacks that took place around Muna Garrage general area of Jere Local Government Area if Borno State.
North East Spokesman of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mallam Abdulkadir Ibrahim gave the confirmation on Sunday.
Muna is an outskirt of Maiduguri metropolis that witnessed series of explosions by suspected members of Boko Haram sect, in which, many lost their lives with others injured.
Ibrahim said, “Emergency response teams have confirmed that 2 female suicide bomber carriers detonated their explosives within 5 minutes interval at Muna Dalti settlement yesterday evening (6/4/2019).
“As a result, 3 persons died including the 2 bombers (total of 5 dead) while close to 41 others sustained various degrees of injuries .
“The injured are currently receiving medical treatment at General Hospital Maiduguri.”
