Ibrahim Abdullahi Danbaba has been sworn in this Tuesday morning as the senator representing Sokoto south.

Senator Danbaba replaces Senator Shehu Tambuwal Abubakar who was sacked by the Court of Appeal recently.
Danbaba was a member of the 8th Senate and was one of the senators who decamped from All Progressive Congress, APC to Peoples Democratic Party, PDP before the last Presidential and National Assembly elections in March this year.
With his swearing in, Senator Danbaba has become the only PDP senator from Sokoto as the other two senators from the Caliphate state, Aliyu Magatakada Wamako and Ibrahim Gobir are APC members.
