Hon Nse Ekpenyong, a House of Reps member representing Oron/Mbo/Udung Uko/Uru Offiong/Oruko Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State, has suddenly died with cause of death unknown, a reliable source close to the lawmaker has revealed.
Revealing this on Monday, one of his aides said Ekpenyong died on Saturday, but could not give details, saying he was also, in the past, a former member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly as well as deputy chairman of PDP in the state.
Honourable Ekpenyong, born in 1964 into an Oron family of Akwa Ibom State, obtained his West African Senior Certificate in 1985 from St. Vincent Secondary School Oti-Obor.
A businessman of repute before joining politics, Ekpenyong additionally obtained a National Diploma (ND) in 2011 from the Abia State Polytechnic, Aba.
It will be recalled that the same Ekpenyong was the one arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2017 at the Federal High Court, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on sundry allegations bordering on certificate forgery and fraud./SHARE THIS
