The Police toady granted Senator Elisha Abbo who was caught assaulting a woman on camera in a sex toy shop, bail after spending a night in custody.
Bala Ciroma, a Commissioner of Police, said Abbo was allowed to go home on Friday after meeting a set of administrative conditions.
The senator was arrested yesterday after turning himself in to the police for the alleged assault. He owned up to the violence, which occurred in May, and issued an apology at a press briefing Wednesday night. He thereafter turned himself in yesterday afternoon.
