The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has declared a man wanted for alleged homosexuality.
Homosexuality is an attraction between people who are of the same sex. It is illegal in Nigeria and punishable by 14 years imprisonment.
According to the police statement, EDEH IFEANYI FIDELIS was caught practicing homosexuality by the people of the community. He fled the scene of the incident, and members of the public were informed to report his whereabouts.
“We have carried out a thorough investigation on this criminal act. And we found it to be true .
“Sadly, in an attempt to apprehend him. He escaped. Anyone with any useful information about his whereabouts should kindly contact the nearest police station as various attempts to arrest and prosecute him have proven abortive,” the statement read.
