Deputy Inspector General of Police, Samaila Aminchi Baraya who was assigned by the Acting Inspector-General of Police to monitor the 2019 general elections in the North-West Zone has announced police readiness in the zone to ensure the success of the polls.
Addressing a press conference at the Force Command in Dutse, Jigawa State while on working visit, he restated the resolve to form a formidable synergy among the police and other security agencies.
” I assured you we are prepared for the 2019 general elections in areas of man power, operational vehicles, among other logistics”, he said.
The AIG called for support and cordial working relationship among the police officers, other related security agencies, and stakeholders.
Also speaking, the Jigawa state Police Commissioner, CP Bala Maza Senchi commended the DIG for the visit, stressing that “your trip has motivated us to increase upon our experiences in battle ready for national assignments.
Senchi assured DIG Baraya that his officers and men are confident and duly fit and ready for 2019 general elections, adding our officers are well equip, and our operational vehicles duly ready for the national duty.
Also speaking un-behalf of the stakeholders, Mal. Abdullahi Hadejia of Jamaatu Nasril Islam called for unity of purpose, hard work and patriotism amongst participating stakeholders for the success of 2019 general elections.
Investigations has revealed that over two thousand police personnel in addition to other security personnel such as Military,Hisbah, Man O War, the Scouts men, among others are expected to partake in the forth coming 2019 general elections in Jigawa State.
