Men of the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos Command, this morning arrested about a dozen protesters at the Lekki Toll Plaza in Lagos.
Those arrested were part of the early protesters at the venue of the latest protest tagged #OccupyLekkiTollgate.
As early as 7am, members of another group of protesters who tagged their plan #DefendLagos, were about massing at the plaza to counter the first group.
Sensing trouble, security agents who had stormed the plaza the previous night swung into action. A comedian, Mr Macaronni, was allegedly among those nabbed by the eagle eyed police officers.

A clip which has gone viral showed some of those arrested inside a Black Maria as they were being taken away from Lekki.
