*11TH JUNE, 2019*
I was elected the Deputy President of The Senate (9th Assembly) by an overwhelming majority of my Distinguished colleagues.

*17TH JUNE, 2019*
I played host to the leadership of the Senate Press Corps

*19TH JUNE, 2019*
The FCT Abuja High Court nullified all actions taken against me by the leadership of the 8th Assembly. The Court explicitly exonerated me from all the malicious allegations and ill-motivated insinuations against me by the 8th Assembly’s leadership.

*29TH JUNE, 2019*
I paid a courtesy visit to the Kaduna State Governor, H.E., Mallam Nasir El-Rufai

*8TH JULY, 2019*
I represented the Senate President at the launch of the West African Parliamentary Corps in Nigeria

*9TH JULY, 2019*
During plenary, I contributed robustly to the debate on the motion on rape, a serious issue of concern in Nigeria, and called for stricter punishment for offenders.

*15TH JULY, 2019*
I met with His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, at the State House, to discuss some issues of national importance.

*16TH JULY, 2019*
I received students of DSC Technical High School, Ovwian-Aladja. Students and indeed, all our young people embody the future greatness of Nigeria.

*18TH JULY, 2019*
I made contributions to the debate on the motion on the urgent need to ascertain the status of Nigeria’s Extended Continental Shelf project; the motion was moved by the Distinguished Senator George Sekibo

*27TH JULY, 2019* During Senate confirmation of ministerial nominees, I raised the issue of the passage of the PIB and the extension of the country’s Continental Shelf. I called on the Federal Government to speed up action in view of their strategic significance for the Niger-Delta

*30TH JULY, 2019* During plenary, I expressed serious concerns over the relocation of oil companies from the Niger-Delta and reaffirmed support for the removal of oil subsidy.

*1ST AUGUST, 2019* My dear people of Delta-Central, our Party leaders/elders, supporters and Deltans from all walks of life accorded me a heroic welcome during my first visit to my constituency, after my emergence as the Deputy President of the Senate. The memories of that warm reception will remain fresh and the love shown me continues to be a source of strength.

*16TH AUGUST, 2019*
I hosted the Delta APC leaders from the Ijaw axis. Chief Michael Johnny led that delegation. Our discussion centred primarily on how to foster greater unity/cooperation within our Party (APC). More importantly, we looked at measures towards attracting development and promoting the common interest of our people in the region.

*23RD AUGUST, 2019*
I gave out cars, tricycles, motorcycles and grinding machines to some of our Party faithfuls. The essence is to appreciate them for their commitment to the Party and also ease their mobility and living.

*7TH SEPTEMBER, 2019*
The National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal sitting in Asaba delivered judgement, upholding my election.The righteous shall always be vindicated in due course.

*26TH SEPTEMBER, 2019*
I was in Uganda for the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference.

*27TH SEPTEMBER, 2019*
On the sidelines of my official trip to Uganda, I addressed a group of Nigerians in that Country. Our people remain precious to us wherever we meet them, anywhere they reside in the world.

*3RD OCTOBER, 2019*
I granted audience to a delegation from the African Union Economic,Social and Cultural Council

*8TH OCTOBER, 2019*
I sponsored two bills, namely:
i. Federal Polytechnic Orogun Establishment Bill 2019 and
ii. Dormant Accounts Fund Management Establishment Bill 2019. Both Bills were read for the first time on the floor of the Senate that day.

*9TH OCTOBER, 2019* The Sexual Harassment Bill 2019 (SB 77) sponsored by me passed first reading on the floor of the Senate.It spurred remarkable debate and positive steps across the federation.

*10TH OCTOBER, 2019*
I sponsored two Bills which were read for the first time on the floor of the Senate; they are:
i. National Industrial Court (Amendment) Bill 2019, and
ii. Court of Appeal Act (Amendment) Bill 2019

*14TH OCTOBER, 2019*
I received an Award of Excellence from the Students Union Government of the University of Benin.

*25TH OCTOBER, 2019*
I received a delegation of the South-South Chiefs and Elders Council led by Chief Boma Anga, JP. Our interaction centred on developmental concerns of our region. The Council also honoured me with an award.
Same day, I received the leadership of the Buhari Support Organization (BSO) Delta State Chapter. The delegation was led by AVM Terry Omatsola Okorodudu (rtd)

*4TH NOVEMBER, 2019*
The Court of Appeal upheld my election victory, affirming the mandate overwhelmingly given me by our people. That judgement brought to an end the needless distractions associated with such litigations.

*5TH NOVEMBER, 2019*
I received a delegation of the Africa Atlantic Gulf of Guinea Fisheries. The AAGGF is seeking to establish an industrial fishing and processing plant and depot in Nigeria. I used the opportunity to encourage the AAGGF to consider investments in the Niger-Delta region and tap into the vast aqua/bio resources in the region.

*7TH NOVEMBER, 2019*
The Bill for an Act to provide for the Establishment of the Federal Polytechnic Orogun,Delta State, passed second reading in the Senate. Amongst others, the polytechnic when established will provide full-time courses in Technology,Applied Sciences,Management and other fields. Also, the Anti-Sexual Harassment Bill 2019 sponsored by me passed second reading in the Senate.

*20TH NOVEMBER, 2019*
The Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill 2019 sponsored by me passed second reading in the Senate.

I represented the President of the Senate at the Second Ordinary session of ECOWAS in Abuja.

I launched the #isupportthesexualharassmentbill campaign

I lent my voice in support of the revival of the Brass LNG Project in Bayelsa State.

*5TH DECEMBER, 2019*
I represented the President of the Senate,H.E., Ahmad Lawan,at the Senate public hearing on the proposed Modibo Adama University, Yola, Adamawa State.

*8TH DECEMBER, 2019*
I attended the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room Stakeholders Forum on Election.

*9TH DECEMBER, 2019*
I attended the policy dialogue on Anti-Sexual Harassment in Tertiary institutions Bill. The event was organized by the Youth Alive Foundation.

*11TH DECEMBER, 2019*
The Senate conducted its public hearing on the Bill for an Act to Establish the Federal Polytechnic,Orogun 2019.

*16TH DECEMBER, 2019*
I visited our very dear well respected royal father, the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, HRM, Richard Ogbon, Ogoni-Oghoro I.

*17TH DECEMBER, 2019*
Electricity transformers were distributed to several communities in my constituency. Some of the benefiting communities have been in darkness for a number of years due to faulty transformers.

I received five awards from different groups/associations, as follows:
i. Award for Excellent performance and nationalistic support (from the APC North-West Forum)

  1. Award as Icon of the Niger-Delta (by the Niger-Delta National Leaders and Development Stakeholders Forum)

iii. Award as Icon of Integrity and Exemplary Leadership (by the National Association of Northern States Students Union)

  1. Award in recognition of effective representation of the Niger-Delta and projection of its development issues (by the Isoko National Youth Assembly)
  2. Award for Exemplary Leadership (by the Northern Youth Assembly of Nigeria)
