Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof Is-haq Oloyede has been slated for the conferment of the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award.
The Award would be conferred on Oloyede by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, November 28, 2019.
The news was conveyed to the JAMB Registrar through a letter signed by the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr Chris Ngige, according to the latest edition of JAMBulletin, made available to The State Online on Monday morning by JAMB’s Spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin.
The letter from the Minister read in part: The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the conferment of the National Productivity Order of Merit Award on you in recognition of your high productivity, hard word and excellence.”
Professor Oloyede since assumption of duty three years ago has brought numerous innovations to the operations of the Board.
JAMBulletin recalled that “His diverse innovations, transparency and deployment of ICT in the fight against corruption and other unwholesome acts have given fresh impetus to the fight against financial, administrative and examination malfeasance in the country. Similarly, his full disclosure of the income and expenditure weekly in the Board’s bulletin has not gone unnoticed by anti-corruption crusaders.”
Other awardees of NPOM includes the Comptroller General of Customs, Col Hamid Ali (rtd); Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; Mr. Tony Elumelu and the Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun.
The Award Lecture, with the theme: Productivity for National Re- Engineering would be delivered by Professor Mike Obada, former Director General , National Centre for Education Management and Administration ( NCEMA).
The National Productivity Order of Merit Award is an award instituted by the Federal Government to recognize hard work and excellence among deserving Nigerians.
