Oloyede Bags Hallmarks Of Labour Foundation Award

The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Is-Haq Oloyede has received the prestigious Hallmarks of Labour Foundation (HLF) Award.

The award, tagged “HLF Umar Shehu Award for consistent advocacy for positive change in the University System,” was conferred on the JAMB Registrar on Saturday , 6th October ,2019 at the 23rd anniversary of the Foundation held in Lagos which was attended eminent scholars, jurists and other professionals.

JAMBulletin in its latest edition made available on Sunday to The State Online  by JAMB Spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin reported by HLF was conceived by eminent Nigerians in 1996 with the aim of salvaging the image of the country.

The bulletin noted that “The Foundation searches for and identifies Nigerians, Africans and people of the black race who have achieved success through hard work, honesty, integrity and justice in every field of human endeavour and uses the achievements and legacies of these role models to educate Nigerians that success through genuine labour in more rewarding and fulfilling.”

During the conferment on the award on him, Professor Oloyede was commended for his achievements at JAMB and redefining public service for greater efficiency, productivity and accountability.

The Foundation said “ Oloyede would be remembered for effectively blocking loopholes that have enabled fraudsters to shortchange and loot public treasury. The huge remittances by Oloyede in three years are commendable.”

In his address of welcome, the chairman of HLF Board of Trustees, Professor emeritus Umaru Shehu thanked the guests, Oloyede and other awardees for their commitment to the ideals of the Foundation.

The chairman of the occasion and former Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Aloma Muktar commended the initiators of HLF for striving to make Nigeria a better place for all.

Dignitaries and other awardees present included Professor emeritus Oladipo Akinkugbe, Professor Grace Alele Williams, Professor Peter Okebukola, Mallam Yusuf Ali SAN, Dr Wale Babalakin and a host of others.
