
The Nigeria Supreme Council for Islam Affairs (NSCIA) has expressed shock over the demise of a former Police Commissioner, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav.
In a statement by Alhaji Yusuf Nwoha, its Director of Administration addressed to Mallam GarbaYakubu Baba, Vice President-General (NSCIA) and Chairman, Benue State Council for Islamic Affairs, the NSCIA said “The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) –Under the leadership of its President-General and Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alh. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, mni– received the news of the death of Alh. Abubakar Tsav with rude shock.
“The Council sorrowfully commiserates with you and the entire Ummah of Benue State on the demise of the late Police Commissioner (Rtd) who departed this mundane world on Monday, 8th June, 2020, at the age of 81 yrs.
“Alh. Tsav lived as a devout Muslim, a disciplined police officer and a human right activist. He was an active member of the Council’s Expanded General Purpose Committee (EGPC). The Council will greatly miss his active participation and useful contributions.
“It is the fervent prayer of the Council that Allah will give hisfamily and the entire Ummah of Benue State the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss, as we beseech the Almighty to admit the late Police Commissioner (Rtd) to AljanahFirdaws. Amin.”
