
Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Mallam Mele Kyari on Monday visited Abule Egba in Lagos, for an on-the-spot assessment of the scene of Sunday’ s pipeline explosion, which claimed five lives and destroyed property worth millions of Naira.
While commiserating with the government and people of the state over the incident, Kyari also called on host communities within and around the NNPC group Pipeline Right of Way (PRoW) to always report pipeline vandals in their areas to security agencies.
GMD Kyari was also at the Oba of Lagos ,Oba Rilwan Akiolu’s Palace where he commiserated with the traditional ruler over the sad occurrence and sought the monarch’s support towards galvanising host community support in the fight against the acts of pipeline vandals.
