NGO Tasks Wealthy Nigerians To Support People Living With Disabilities

A Non Governmental Organisation, (NGO) operating under the aegis of “Help Women Foundation” has called on wealthy Nigerians and those in diaspora to give more helping hands to the less privileged in the society.
Founder of the Foundation, Mrs. Ayobola Olupinla who is also the Kwara State Chairperson of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) made the call in Ilorin, the state capital
She said “Help Women Foundation” was established as a result of her passion to assist less privileged people in the society, particularly, the women folk.
Her words; “I love giving and this is the only reason that prompted me to come up with Help Women Foundation, I believe, it will give me more opportunities to reach out to more people, especially, those that are truly in need in rural areas.
“Help Woman Foundation, is about vulnerable, poorest of the Women, Women with disabilities and orphans”
Olupi la added that her Foundation would collaborate with various organizations in the state and the country at large, to actualise this purpose to its desirable level.
At the launching occasion, Help Women Foundation distributed food items and cash donations to two selected women in each of the sixteen Local Government Areas in the state, in addition to five identified people, living with
Commissioner for Tertiary Education in Kwara, Hajia Sadat Modibbo Kawu in her address at the occasion applauded, Ayobola for her kindness and urged wealthy people in the society to support the foundation to achieve its set objectives.
Contributing her own support to “Help Women Foundation”, a medical practitioner, Dr. Janet Ogunmodede, said she was ready to give two hours per day to give psychotherapy services for the five persons with disabilities free of charge.
