A bank customer has slumped and died on a bank queue after waiting endlessly for cash at a commercial bank in Agbor, Delta State.

According to reports, the yet-to-be-identified man died after waiting for hours to collect his Automated Teller Machine card to make transactions at First Bank in Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State, on Thursday, February 2, 2023.
Facebook user, Omole Mike, shared a photo of the deceased and wrote; “Just now, at about 1:30 pm, somebody collapsed and died in the First Bank of Nigeria, Agbor Branch. The date is on 02-02-2023. May his Soul Rest in Peace. It is well.”
Confirming his death, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, said, “He was not trying to withdraw cash; he came to collect his ATM card to collect the cash at his own time.”
With the man’s sudden death, he thus became the first direct victim of the result of the acute scarcity of the redesigned naira notes pervading the country for some time now. May his soul rest in perfect peace!/SHARE THIS
