
Outgoing Acting Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad on Friday in Mecca said he
believed that Allah guided President Muhammadu Buhari in picking Barrister Zikrullah Olakunle Hassan as the Chairman designate of the Commission.
He spoke when NAHCON met with State Pilgrims Welfare Agencies/Boards at the Commission’s office in Makkah.
In his opening remarks, the Ag. Chairman/CEO Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad (MON, FCIA, Esq) urged all states to give the incoming Board all necessary support and cooperation.
He also requested for special supplication for the incoming Board to succeed in the activities and projects before them. He informed the meeting that Allah had answered prayers that the change to be from within the Hajj family. He added that the Board is eminently capable of shouldering the responsibilities ahead.
He further assured the meeting that Barrister Zikrullah Olakunle Hassan has been a known figure in the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) community.
The Acting Chairman believed that Allah guided the President in making this right decision.
He therefore said the unity of purpose should unite the Hajj stakeholders towards consolidating the reforms NAHCON is undergoing.
