Minbar Minds Schools Hold Graduation, Speech And Prize Giving Day



Minbar Minds Schools, New Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos recently held their Graduation, Speech And Prize Giving Day.


The event which took place at Lacoccasionz Event Centre, 55/57 Charity Road, New Oko-Oba, Abule Egba, Lagos state, on 21st July, 2019, started at exactly 11:38am with Quran recitation by some students of the schools with different intonations.

This was followed by the welcome address by the School Director, Mr Abdulazeez Muyili. In his remark, the chairman of the day, Imam Sadullah Bello, who is also the Chief Imam of Ogba Oluwole Central mosque, Lagos, could not hide his delight with the organization of the programme.

“I really appreciate the effort of the management of Minbar-Minds schools. This is kind of arrangement is rare among Muslims schools. Most often than not, you find us organising programmes in hidden places, beside the mosque, beside shops, on the street and so on. Please do not rest on your oars, “he said.

The theme lecture was delivered by the guest speaker, Dr. Salahudden Munirdeen Arriyady, a lecturer in the school of languages, Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Ijanikin, Lagos State and Mudir, Zamzam Islamic Academy, Atan, Ota.

In his short lecture, he emphasized on the importance of ensuring Muslim homes become fortress to shield the Muslim child from the numerous modern evil machinations. He admonished parents to be good role models for the children.

He charged Muslim schools to stop being deceptive as many do not practice what they outwardly manifest or claim.

Prizes and awards were given to students, academic staff and non academic staffs in different categories.

These included Best students, second best students and third best students across all classes (Nursery 1-Primary Five for Pre-school and Primary Classes, J.S. 1 – J.S. 3 for College) Best Graduating students (Primary and College), Best in Quran memorization ( Pre-school, lower, intermediate and advance category), Best in Quran recitation (Primary and College), Best student, Second best and third best in French  class, Distinguished Staff Award (Male and Female category), Punctuality Staff Award ( Male and Female) and Reward and Recognition of service Award.

Prizes were sponsored by the school Governing board, parents and the school management. Over 600 individuals comprising of students, parents and guardians, staff and well wishers were present on the occasion.
