The Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), Rev Father Ejike Mbaka, who disappeared and reappeared after massive protests in the coal city of Enugu,Wednesday, May 5, has attributed his return to the protests by his church followers, whom he described as sheep that were suddenly left without shepherd and then went desperate.
Although he did not categorically say where he went to, he said: “I don’t know what I did. To tell you the truth, if not for what you did (the protests), I would not know what would have happened to me.
“May God be with you. I have no problem with the church. I don’t have any problem with the Catholic Church or with any church. I’m just a servant of God. I’m just an instrument of the Divine.
“Nobody will stop me from doing the charity I am doing. May God protect you for me. You went for prayer and from there you went to protest like sheep without a shepherd. It hurt me that I had this sort of problem.”
Mbaka who suddenly reappeared during the protests at Bishop’s Court at Independence Layout, Enugu hosting His Eminence, the Bishop, in an open roof car, stopped to address the crowd, saying, of a truth, he was held captive against his will.
He was allegedly invited by His Eminence, Bishop Onaga, for a meeting, after which he was handed over to security operatives, and the protest gained ground following the suspicion that the Bishop may have betrayed him.
This followed a strong suspicion that Mbaka may have been handed over to the security with the Bishop’s connivance.
The Catholic priest’s problem began after he had called for the resignation or impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari over rising insecurity in the country, with the Presidency firing back that the priest turned against Buhari, who he supported for election in 2015 and 2019, after he (Mbaka) failed to secure contracts sought from the president.
He was also reported to have dropped new prophecies, May 2, in which he revealed what will happen to Buhari Government if he (Mbaka) is attacked.
In the prophecy, Father Mbaka foretold that there was an imminent disaster in Nigeria, charging the government to provide employment opportunities for the youths, saying Heaven’s anger will descend on the Muhammadu Buhari administration if the government fights him, adding that he speaks against the government on behalf of the Nigerian masses./ SHARE THIS
