A young man, Ibrahim Adamu, commenced trekking from Benisheihk, the headquarters of Kaga Local Government Area to Maiduguri, the Borno state capital (72Km) to show his support for the victory of Rt. Hon. Usman Zannah who was elected Member House of Representatives, Kaga, Magumeri and Gubio Federal Constituency.
Ibrahim, on Thursday, who was welcomed and received by Comr. Umar Muhammad Bukar, Comr Abba Audu Benisheikh, Abba Gurange Kausulum, Umar Grema Abdallah, Modu Aji, Aisami Bukar, supporters of Zannah said that, he (the trekker) plans to reach Maiduguri within 13 hours, and make it.
Ibrahim further said, he was really happy with the victory, that is why he trekked to Maiduguri to show the Member- elect that he is with him 100 per cent.
Along the way, he was welcomed by hundreds of youth in Mainok communities which is about 45km away from Maiduguri and other residential communities to join him to show their solidarity of the victory of Hon. Usman Zanah.
Ibrahim during his interview said, he believe that only Rt. Hon. Usman Zanah can overcome the problems of their constituency in terms of unemployment, poverty, Youth and women empowerment, health care, Portable Water, education among others.
According to him, he left Benisheihk town at 6:00am on Thursday after his parents prayed for him, and arrived Maiduguri at about 7pm same day.
According to him, he encountered series of interrogation by security operatives along the way, but said the experience could not deter him from continuing with the journey.
