LOCK-DOWN: Give us food before locking us down- Dutse resident’s urges Badaru

As lockdown entered  its third day in metropolitan Dutse, residents of the ancient city have called on Governor Badaru Abubakar to as a matter of urgency to help provide them with palliatives for them to acquire food stuffs for their families.
Speaking to our correspondent, the spokesman, Mal. Tukur Hammayayi queried the government in taking such unilateral decision without any  adequate provision towards alleviating the side effects of such lockdown on the people, not knowing that majority of our  masses are extremely poor in terms of money, food stuffs at home, and faced with  other confronting domestic problems.
He argued that even Kano our sister state before it embarks on the state lockdown, it gave its citizens at-least a week noticed for them to get prepared, compared to our state Jigawa which gave only two days notice.
Also speaking, Shehu Zai lambasted the state government policy of lockdown, saying it wasn’t so in developed nations, citing example with China, Italy, US, among others where the authorities of such nation have provide incentives as palletiaves to cushion the effects of the lockdown unlike we in Nigeria our government failed to provide nothing in terms of palliatives to its citizens only locking them in housed with empty stomachs.
Investigations conducted by our correspondent has revealed that all entries to Dutse metropolitan was blocked by security personnel, while a combined team of police, the Army, Vigilante group, and officers of Civil Defence Corps were seen patrolling to ensure stick compliance of the enforced lockdown in the ancient city.
All roads in the city looked empty except to those with essential services. There isn’t any movement of free vehicles, nor motorcycles plying on major roads within Dutse vicinity, nor allowed any in coming vehicles outside the city.
In a related development, Governor Badaru Abubakar has announced that over 900 Almajiris who are indigenes of the state evacuated from other states back home would enjoy free feeding during the Ramadan period.
Flagging up the programme in Kazaure, the Special Adviser on Religious Matters, Mal. Mujtaba Kwalam said it was expected that pupils of about 47 tsangaya schools will benefit from the scheme.
