
Former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Chief Sharafa Tunji Isola has commiserated with the family and Muslim Communities in Egbaland, Ogun State, Yorubaland as well as Edo and Delta States on the demise of the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Alhaji Liadi Ayinde Orunsolu.

In a condolence letter to the family of the late Chief Imam, Chief Sharafa Tunji Isola who is also the Baba Adinni, Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States extolled the virtues of the late Muslim cleric, describing him as a titan.
The letter which was written and sent on behalf of the League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States said “Sheikh Orunsolu during his lifetime that spanned a period of 98 years, was simply a titan. He will be remembered over a long time for the significant role he played in bringing together all Muslim communities in Egbaland.
“Sheikh Liadi was also a key factor in the unity and cooperation that have prevailed among the Muslim Communities in Ogun State and Yorubaland. At the time of his death, he was the President of the League of Imams and Alfas, Ogun State. A man of peace, profound knowledge and immense wisdom, his contributions to inter-religious harmony is noteworthy.
The Baba Adinni added that “Successive administrations in Ogun State have benefited immensely from his frank, honest and fatherly contributions,” adding that “ There is no gainsaying that he will be greatly missed by the entire people of Ogun State.”
He prayed that: “ May Allah (SWT) grant the family and the Egba Muslim Community the strength to bear the loss of this colossus who was a father to all and sundry. May Allah (SWT) reward his uncommon services to man and his Creator with Aljanat Firdaus.”
