Lagos house wife arraigned over drug related offences

A Lagos Federal High Court has adjourned till 5th and 6th February, 2025 when the trial of a Lagos house wife, Florence Moses, alleged to have been dealing in drug will commence       According to a two count charge filed before the court by the NDLEA combined team of Prosecutors, N. J. Manza and J.O. Negedu, it was alleged that Florence Moses, 56, at Last Bus Stop, Badore, AJAH Lagos State without lawful authority dealt in 9.7 Kilogrammes of Cannabis Sativa.

The defendant pleaded not guilty. She was consequently admitted to bail while the case was adjourned for trial.

The two count charge as filed before the court by the NDLEA Prosecutors:

COUNT 1

That you, Florence Moses, Female, Adult, 56 years old on or about the 24th day of September 2024, at Last Bus Stop, Badore, Ajah, Lagos State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court  without lawful authority dealt in 9.7 Kilogrammes of Cannabis Sativa, a narcotic drug similar to Cocaine, Heroin and LSD and therefore committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 11(c) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act Cap N30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

COUNT 2

That you, Florence Moses, Female, Adult, 56 years old, on or about the 24th day of September 2024, at Last Bus Stop, Badore, Ajah, Lagos State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court without lawful authority dealt in 50 litres of Liquid Cannabis Sativa, a narcotic drug similar to Cocaine, Heroin and LSD and therefore committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 11(c)Of the national Drug law enforcement Agency Act Cap N30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
