To prevent a duly constituted marriage from mercilessly heading for the rock, couples should ensure a quantum supply of sex to each other when desired, Presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has counseled. Bishop Oyedepo, who noted that, apart from preventing an imminent crash, good sex is also a recipe for all-time mutual cohabitation.
Revealing this on his official Facebook page, Saturday, Oyedepo explained that the temptation from being miserly with sex is enormous, high point of which is extramarital affairs, as deserving partner must find a way of dousing the flaming fire.
He stressed: “A sex-starved marriage is heading for destruction; spouses should be available for each other, otherwise there will be a tendency to go where they would be accepted because the burning must be satisfied,” urging spouses to be available for their partners when the urge for sex comes.
Bishop Oyedepo is not alone on this. Speaking in the same vein, the Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church Jabi, Abuja, Pastor Chris Abraham, told a wedding service congregation, Saturday, that love was the foundation for a successful marriage, advising the newly wedded not to expect perfection from their spouse, as love must be unconditional.
“Marriage is a covenant commitment to love an imperfect person unconditionally for the rest of your life,” he said, noting that the primary proof of love is giving.
He, therefore, urged couples to continue to express love to each other by constantly giving./SHARE THIS
