Kwara State has recorded a total figure of 1,496 confirmed cases of COVIC-19 and 32 deaths since the pandemic started last year.
A table by the State Technical Committee on COVID-19 headed by the Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi on Tuesday showed that 183 of the figure were active while 1,281 had been treated and discharged.
Meanwhile, 13,215 testing cases were done and 11,502 of them were negative thanks to the decentralization of government Testing Centres across the 16 Local Councils across the state.
However, there are still 217 pending tests as at Tuesday according to COVID-19 Technical Committe table.
The State had of late intensified advocacies on strict compliance with COVID-19 protocols while a curfew between 12 midnight and 4.am imposed before Christmas season as well as ban on social gatherings, limited congregational numbers at worship centres were still being enforced.
