After failure to convince Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, the presidential flag bearer of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has chosen a Lagos-based cleric, Bishop Isaac Idahosa, as his running mate.

This is revealed in a tweet made by the NNPP Campaign Organisation, Thursday, July 14, in which it simply said, “Behold, our VP, Pastor Bishop Isaac Idahosa from Edo State.”

This, political pundits said, came pursuant to NNPP’s avowed determination to meet up the deadline of the July 17 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for submission of parties’ presidential candidates against the 2023 presidential election.

Bishop Isaac Idahosa, a popular Lagos-based cleric, but of Edo extraction, is the Senior Pastor of God First Ministry, widely known as Illumination Assembly, Lekki Light Centre, Ajah, Lagos, as well as a popular gospel singer, motivational speaker and writer.

Also known as “O Talk Na Do” by followers, Idahosa was said to be earlier a Muslim but converted to Christianity in 1979, and is expected to bring to bear, his closeness to both faiths to swing votes for his party, NNPP./SHARE THIS
