Kidnapped ex-Minister’s son regains freedom, as AIG Oyebade vows to arrest culprits

Abducted son of Professor Isaac Adewole, immediate past of Health, Mr Dayo Adewole, has regained his freedom.

Dayo was kidnapped in his farm at Iroko at gunpoint on Tuesday evening on his farm in Iroko, Oyo State.

A source close to the former Minister confirmed that Dayo was now free and that the details will be made available shortly.

It was not clear if any ransom was paid before he regained freedom.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone XI comprising Osun, Oyo and Ondo States, AIG Leye Oyebade has pledge to unmask and bring the perpetrators to book.

Oyebade who visited the scene of the incident at Iroko Area, Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Wednesday, described the incident has a very unfortunate one saying, the inspector general of police, Inspector Mohammed Adamu has given a call to unmask the culprits and on that mandate the police stand.

AIG Oyebade however, enjoined members of the public and political office holders to be security conscious on those they employed as their aides as some of them are dangerous elements who do give away their masters.
