For violating the country’s COVID-19 protocols, the Nigerian Government has imposed travel ban on 100 air travelers, placing a strict out-bound movement on the persons concerned.
Announcing this via a tweet, Saturday night, January 2, the Presidency Office of Digital Engagement (PODE), said the travel ban would last for six months (January 1-June 30).
It said, “Based on Presidential authority, travel restrictions are being placed on the following passports due to non-compliance to the mandatory Day 7 post-arrival COVID-19 PCR test,” adding that “the defaulting passengers have been notified and will be prevented from travelling out of the country during this period.”
