One-time Deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Mantu, has succumbed to the cold hands of death.

Mantu who was 74, died in the early hours of today, Tuesday, August 17, at a private hospital in Abuja after nine days of sickness and isolation.

Family source informed that he died at about 2am. The source said: “He fell ill about nine days ago and was receiving treatment at home but he was rushed to the hospital when there was no sign of improvement.”

According to the source, Mantu’s funeral prayer would hold today in Abuja.

Meanwhile, tributes have started pouring in for the late Deputy Senate President, with Governor Lalong of Plateau State, Jeremiah Useni, Ike ekweremadu leading the pack./SHARE THIS
