The eldest offspring of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Rev Tola Oyediran, has died this afternoon, Friday, October 16, 2020, even without any previous report of ailment, report just filtering in from the old Western Nigeria, has indicated.
The daughter of the late Premier of Western Region, aged 79, it was gathered, was putting finishing touches for her 80th birthday celebration, December 1, when the death suddenly occurred.

Until her death, Oyediran (nee Awolowo) was the Chairman, Board of Directors of African Newspapers of Nigeria ( ANN) publishers of Tribune titles.
