Jigawa Confirms one indigene has tested positive for Coronavirus

Jigawa state government yesterday confirmed  that an indigene of Jigawa state tested positive to the dreaded coronavirus.
The victim a 26 years of age ( Name with held) was a jigawa indigene from Kaugama LGA  and was returning home from Lagos
The confirmation was as a result of taking his sample and tested positive, despite jigawa state government pronouncement that the state was yet to record a single case of Cobid-19.
Briefing newsmen in Dutse, the jigawa state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abba Zakari Umar confirmed the incidence, adding the case is currently at the state isolation centre is responding to treatment.
“Actually they were two migrant from both of whom an indigene of jigawa state returning from Lagos, there samples were taken one positive the other negative, they are now at one of the jigawa isolation centre, Dr. Zakari has said”
Dr. Zakari who was also the Chairman state task force on Covid-19 in jigawa state said the case was earlier recorded by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control in Kano.
